This video dates back to 1978, when famous architect Renzo Piano illustrated his futuristic vision of a home intended as “evolutionary,” with a design created thanks to the economic and technical commitment of the then “Vibrated cement” Vibrocemento Perugia spa, today known as Generale Prefabbricati spa.
The proposal introduces the principle of progressive re-appropriation of the house by the dweller: reclaiming which manifests itself in meeting the personal needs of living space.
The housing is in fact conceived of in an evolutionary manner; that is, with its ability to expand and contract inside its primary shell: the latter is able to ensure structural, hygienic and heat reliability and is designed from the outset in its maximum volume conformation.
To better understand the evolution of this type of housing, just think for a second of the “evolutionary home” could rely on an efficient solar power supply system.
