On the occasion of the 18th Annual Convention held in Berlin from 25-27 May, 2013, the General Assembly of the IPHA, International Prestressed Hollow Core Association, unanimously elected the Generale Prefabbricati Delegate as a new member of the Steering Committee.
IPHA brings together the main international players involved in the prestressed concrete honeycomb slab prefabrication industry: prefabricated industry, technology producers, academia and the scientific community: all sharing in the search for continuous improvement of one of the most applied components for the world of prefabricated construction systems.
The mission of IPHA is to achieve international excellence in the prestressed concrete honeycomb slab prefabrication industry. In particular, the results conducted by the Oko Institut (Institute for applied ecology) and DGNB (German Sustainable Building Council) regarding LCA credentials and the environmental sustainability of use of hollow core slabs in the construction world were illustrated during the event this year.
Generale Prefabbricati considers this new recognition in line with the strategies of its industrial plan, which will make significant investments over the next three years in the development of the Spiroll sales network and in the improvement of production technologies with beneficial effects and opportunities for all its Customers. In this regard, an innovative Spiroll floor slabs lifting system will be previewed nationally in September.
