This ambitious and stimulating project was born in an area undergoing major industrial redevelopment in New York, with approximately fifteen thousand cladding pieces entirely conceived and pre-assembled in Italy.

Edilbeton Perugia adapted its manufacturing process to implement innovative solutions, creating high-quality concrete elements installed far from their production site while still ensuring excellent sustainability performance.
The approximately fifteen thousand cladding components—which included rounded spherical parts with manual finishing, each unique and essential to the project designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop—were crafted in GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete). Production utilized new, specific CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery dedicated to the grinding and drilling of the components, which were manufactured to meet extremely tight tolerances, far beyond those typical for concrete products.
