Works for the construction of the Boulevard Urbain Sud (BUS) in Marseille, the second most populous city in France, long characterized by traffic-related issues. This ambitious project involves the construction of an 8.5 km boulevard crossing the southern areas of the city, forming part of a broader plan aimed at linking the city from north to south while bypassing the city center and the most congested areas. The BUS features wide lanes flanked by cycling and pedestrian paths, green areas, and the construction of three underpasses with two lanes in each direction. It is precisely for the construction of these underpasses that EdilBeton Perugia SpA was commissioned to supply special GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) cladding panels equipped with internal acoustic insulation. For EdilBeton Perugia SpA, this represents yet another international recognition of its excellence in the design and production of GFRC architectural panels. The contract includes the supply and installation of approximately 5,000 sqm of GFRC panels, which the prestigious client Vinci Construction—one of the world’s leading general contractors in the construction sector—has entrusted to us, complete with a surface finishing treatment using a special polyurethane coating.
