Casa evolutiva
1978
Renzo Piano and Peter Rice
The “Casa Evolutiva” project, designed in 1978, was conceived as a fully adaptable living space, both in size and functionality.
The internal space can vary from 50 sqm up to 120 sqm, while the layout and use of rooms can be continuously reconfigured. Even the level of finishing can be customized, allowing residents to choose between basic or refined solutions.
Electrical and plumbing systems are intentionally exposed to simplify maintenance and future modifications. The heating system incorporates solar technology to reduce operational costs.
A movable glass and metal wall allows further expansion of the living area when needed, making the house a dynamic and evolving structure.
